Hybrid grass for the golf course is intended to improve and enhance the quality for all playing/green surfaces the club provides. ÅhusTurf Hybrid grass is the products that helps the natural grass to withstand heavy wear as well as facilitate maintenance on the golf course.

Hybrid grass for the bunker

The bunker is an exposed location on the golf course.

Enter and exit the bunker cause damage to the bunker edges.
The sun dries out front edge and is a challenge to keep green.
Stones travel from the soil to the sand.
Dried drifting sand or wet sand.
Heavy rain causing rivulets and the sand slides towards bottom of the bunker.

Solutions:

CL 1201 protect the bunker when players, greenkeepers or machines enter and exit the bunker. CL 1201 also protect the front edge from ball mark damages.
NRT 3002 protect bunker edge in draught and sunshine.
BLB 2001 prevent stones in the sand and rivulets caused by rain. Playable without sand.

Hybrid grass on Teeing ground

Every day, teeing grounds are subject to a great deal of stress, and greenkeepers have to work hard to offer as good a surface as possible. Hybrid grass offers a consistent firm surface that repairs itself significantly quicker than damaged turfs. As a player, you don’t see the Hybrid grass, but simply play your stroke as usual. The difference is that the player doesn’t find the divot since the Hybrid grass prevents this. The area around the teeing ground – any benches, the path to the teeing ground or the path from the teeing ground to the fairway – is exposed to a great deal of wear where Hybrid grass could be a solution.

CL 1201 has been developed for playing golf from. With CL 1201 integrated into the teeing ground, it is possible to reduce the size of the area, as the surface recovers faster than natural grass without ÅhusTurf Hybrid grass. Teeing ground size is determined according to how often you move the teeing ground itself.

NRT 3002/Euro Hybrid helps at the entrance to the teeing ground. From the teeing ground to the fairway, you have a beautiful grassy path. Similarly, if you have a bench at the teeing ground, the area around it can remain green throughout the year.

Walkways and paths with Hybrid grass

Hybrid grass on paths or tracks gives the golf course a natural, green and playable surface for the entire season. Instead of having a hard, trampled earth surface, or a boring gravel track, Hybrid grass creates a green, clean and pleasant surface all year round.

CL 1201 can be used where the path is part of the playing surface and all strokes can be hit from all distances above 50m. Mowing height is down to 12 mm.

NRT 3002 / Euro Hybrid for all walkways and all traffic. The Hybrid is harsh preventing slipping on slope walkways during wet weather.

Wet part of the year is not affecting the hybrid turf as they’re still green during that period.

Hybrid grass for the green and practice areas

Greens and the areas around them often influence the players opinion. Morning dew changes the nature of the green. ÅhusTurf Dressmat is constructed of NRT 3002. Its combination of straight and curled piles makes the mat extremely gentle on the natural grass.

When dew arises, the water drops are split so that reformation is prevented.
During dressing, the mat distributes the sand evenly over the surface.

The practice area is subjected to a lot of tough wear. With CL 1201 you can create areas from which players can practice from.

The putting green is occasionally used as a chipping green which when many players is using it causes a lot of areas being worn out. CL 1201 can be placed on small areas as chipping areas for the players.

If you have heavy wear on areas to and from the putting green you can put NRT 3002/Euro Hybrid on the areas you want to be naturally green all year around.

Solutions for wintergolf

During the winter months many courses offers the availability to play for as long as possible. ÅhusTurf provides different products to keep the course open for longer without destroying the course. With our Fairwaymat Solid you avoid the bits of turf that do not recover even though they are put back.

ÅhusTurf Hybrid grass CL 2802 can be put on your tees to conserve them. With its strong backside and customised hole size it protects the grass while still making it able to tee the ball. The area beneath recovers in approximately 6 weeks after the winter.
