Football has been played on hybrid grass for many years. The range of hybrid grass has increased substantially. ÅhusTurf Hybrid grass CL 2802 has a very strong underside that protects the root system from above.

CL 2802 is an extremely strong product developed for all levels of football. Here we have adapted the pile height to the hole size (20 mm) and the strength of the reinforcement. This combination means that you get maximal ventilation and growth, as well as utmost protection of the grass crown and root system. The unique part of the product CL 2802 is that it can be installed on smaller areas of the pitch but still increase the overall quality of the pitch.

Integrated CL 2802 is supplied as a roll of ready-to-lay grass. The turf thickness is 35 mm, and the roll is 72 cm wide.

Penalty area

The penalty area is the most exposed area on the whole pitch, which often results in cavities or a bare earth surface. Compaction from the goalkeeper means that water often remains after rain.

With its strong underside, CL 2802 distributes the load from the goalkeeper and the players, minimising compaction. The pile height and hole size (20 mm) are designed to allow you to use the surface after five days.

Club football pitches

The use of hybrid grass for football pitches is talked about more frequently. When it comes to football activities for larger sports fields we advocate one of our two football products, ÅhusTurf Hybrid grass CL 2802.

The advantage with CL 2802 is that it can be installed both on seedbed or already existing turf. If you have good growth and no problems with water accumulations on the pitch we use it as is and install CL 2802 directly on the area. If any before mentioned problems exists on your pitch we need to inspect it and figure out suitable actions before installation. The basic rule for CL 2802 is that we want to retain as much of the original growth in the pitch as possible.

Other areas of wear

Machines which is used for maintenance of the pitch is often causing track marks and worn out areas. By installing hybrid grass at the entrances for machines and similar surfaces you can keep them green and well groomed all year. If you have a kiosk on the the area in conjunction to grass it could be a good alternative to install hybrid grass because there is alot of people.
